WATER TREATMENT FAQs

FAQs

What is a peroxide well water treatment system?

It’s a powerful water treatment system that uses hydrogen peroxide to remove iron, sulfur, tannins, and harmful bacteria from well water.

How does the peroxide system work?

Hydrogen peroxide is injected into the water line, oxidizing contaminants. The system then filters them out using catalytic carbon and mesh resin.

Why does my water smell like rotten eggs?

That odor usually means sulfur is in your water. Our peroxide system removes sulfur completely, leaving your water fresh and clean.

Will this system get rid of orange or rust stains?

Yes, the peroxide system is designed to eliminate iron, which causes orange stains in sinks, toilets, and tubs.

Is the system good for removing bacteria?

Absolutely. The peroxide kills harmful bacteria often found in private well water.

Does it soften the water too?

Yes, the system includes a softener with 10% mesh resin to reduce hard minerals like calcium and magnesium.

How often does the system need maintenance?

We recommend annual softener service and changing the carbon media every three years.

Do you offer service visits?

Yes, we visit every 8 weeks to deliver salt and peroxide for only $75 per visit.

What does the warranty cover?

You get a 10-year warranty on all moving parts, covering manufacturer defects and normal wear and tear.

What’s not covered under warranty?

Media replacement, weather-related damage, insects, and pests are not covered.

How much does the system cost?

It starts at $3,800, and that includes installation and startup materials.

Is financing available?

What’s included in the peroxide water treatment system?

You get 2 Vortech tanks, 2 Clack control valves, a brine tank, a mixing tube, a Stenner pump, mesh resin, catalytic carbon, and startup salt and peroxide.

Why do you use Vortech tanks?

Vortech tanks are 30% more efficient than standard tanks, which means better performance and savings over time.

Who installs the system?

Our family-owned team handles everything. Kevin has over 30 years of experience in residential water treatment.

Do you service the entire Tampa Bay area?

Yes! We serve Largo, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Tampa, and surrounding areas in Pinellas, Hillsborough, Polk, Manatee, and Pasco counties.

Is this safe for drinking water?

Yes, once treated and filtered, your water is safe, clean, and great-tasting.

Will it help with dry skin and hair?

Definitely. Softened and filtered water reduces skin irritation and leaves your hair feeling smoother.

Can you test my water first?

Yes, we offer water testing to figure out exactly what’s in your water and what system you’ll need.

How long does installation take?

Most systems are installed in just one day, with no disruption to your home.

Do I need to be home for service visits?

Nope. As long as we have access to your equipment, we can service your system while you’re away.

What makes your company different?

We’re family-owned, local to Largo, and offer honest prices without big company overhead.

Can you help with iron bacteria or slime in my well?
